Should I apply ?

Hello,

I currently am looking to refi my Jeep with my current lender Chase. I'm also looking to appy for the Discover More card, I keep getting pre-approved letters and the expiration date is 3/31 to sign up for the promotional offer.  I have an overall utilization of 10%, however I have a $477 bal on a 600 cl. I paid it a few weeks ago but I'm waiting for Orchard to update my credit report before applying for another card or my refi. I think Orchard reports on the last business day of the month for me.

Below is my cc portfolio, no lates at all on my cr's.

Orchard Bank $600 CL - $0 Bal (just waiting for it to report)

Orchard Bank $500 CL - $300 Bal

Kohls $1000 CL - $195 Bal

Jared  $7600 CL - $0 Bal

Psecu $10,000  CL - $1300 Bal

Fico's

EX - 736 (provided from Psecu) -- 6 inqs

EQ - 757 - 4 inqs

TU - 681 (one 4 year old pub record) - 0 inqs

Should I wait until my report is updated and then apply for the Discover card, then try to refi my Jeep or vice versa?  I believe Chase and Discover both pull EQ in PA.  I also read on other threads that Discover pulls all 3 when you apply. My public record is not paid and I'm waiting for it too drop off my report. I'm considering freezing TU but not sure if that's a good idea. I applied for the Chase Freedom card a few months ago and was denied because too many new accounts. They initially pulled EX, called for a recon and they pulled TU and denied again because of the public record. I also checked Amex's pre-approved website and it said I was pre-approved for their Gold and Green card but recommended Gold. Should I apply for that instead of the Discover card?

Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Should I apply ?

orchard typically reports on the last day of the month for everyone, but some people have been upset because their accounts have not been updated since january.  you may want to keep an eye on it.
