Should I dispute?

On my credit report there are 3 collection accounts and 3 credit cards in good standing.  One credit card has been opened a year, one has been open 7 months, and the other was only opened 2 months and then closed because it never arrived.  They sent it, apparently it was lost and I never received it but they still reported it as 2 months paid satisfactorily and then it has lost/stolen below it.  Should I dispute the lost/stolen card since I never received it?  Is it hurting my score having an account that was opened 2 months, or does it not matter?

Re: Should I dispute?

It usually shows lost/stolen for a few months.  If you do not receive a new card with a different account # within 3 weeks of calling the CCC   call them again.  They will delete it & add the new account info.+ the 2 months

Re: Should I dispute?

They've already sent me a new card...they did right after...that was several months ago.  But they're reporting it separately from the lost/stolen account/card.  Could it be hurting my score since it says it was only opened for 2 months?

Re: Should I dispute?

No it should not hurt your scores as it should read closed and isn't reporting.

Re: Should I dispute?

I had the same thing happen to me: lost/stolen card reporting separately and it has been over a year now. I also had my new card/new account- the next week which of course is on the cr. This doesn't seem to effect my score, I assume this will always show up but now I'm wondering, why should it?

Lost credit card: If there are no delinquencies, credit cards that are reported lost will continue to be listed for two years from the date the card is reported lost. Delinquent payments that occurred before the card was lost are reported for seven years.
