Should I purchase another Score Watch Item

Hello,

Right now I have the monthly Score Watch with Equifax with My Fico, should I purchase the one with Transunion as well.  I would love to have all three, however, the price it to high right now for me.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  I currently have a 620 Equifax score (last year this time I was at 535) and I would like to get my self ready for a Mortgage between now and August of this year (fingers cross).  I have dealt with Harris Bank and they pulled my Transunion report and I have clean up that report pretty good and still have about 3 more account to clean up.  I just need some insights on the best product for my goal.

TIA

Re: Should I purchase another Score Watch Item

If you are just wanting to monitor your CR for changes while you are cleaning up your credit, try a monthly monitoring service, such as TrueCredit. It gives you scores, but they are FAKO.

I would only pay for my FICO scores if you are about to app for something large(or if curiousity gets the best of ya),

You say you are going to app for a mortgage around August. If you are currently working on correcting your CR, I'd wait until you were done or about to app for the mortgage to get score.

Re: Should I purchase another Score Watch Item

TrueCredit is the way I would go...I have both scorewatch and truecredit and the tc is much more on the ball for me...I am actually frustrated with SW because they are not alerting me on things that they should be. I figure when I need a fico for something important then I will purchase them..but for cleaning up your credit tc is awesome. Good luck...we are in the same boat but looking to buy in april next year.

Quarterly Monitoring is just that, you get a Quarterly TU credit report. The only thing it monitors in between time is your demographics such as Name, address etc. It will not send an alert for anything that has to do with your accounts. (Thanks again Barry for explaining that one to me...lol)
