Source of Address Change - Old Address Reported as a New/Current Address

Hi, is there any way to determine the source (creditor) of an address change being added to your credit report?  I was notified by both Chase and Amex monitoring I have setup that Transunion added a new current address, which happens to be my old address that I haven't lived at in over two years.  I think this has happened to me in the past as well, but I never understood the reason.  I tried calling the TU support number, and spoke with a guy that claimed it was related to my mortgage, but he didn't even bother to try and identify who I was, so it was useless.

Also, is it is possible that an address changes would be coming from anywhere besides a creditor?  I can't think of anything that has changed recently that would explain the timing of this.

You need to call each creditor that had that old address and ask them to purge it from their system as you no longer live there, then request its removal from the CRA. The only way they get it is from a creditor reporting it, it doesnt come from anywhere else.
