Has anyone received their rebate check yet? I have not and my last ss# is 02, and yes i did file electronically and i also do qualify, anyone???

They only began going out today.

As for filing electronically, that is not important. Did you have direct deposit or a paper check?

I had an electronic deposit. So i should get it sometime this week?

you need to have direct deposot in order to get it, e-file makes no difference

If you had direct deposit directly from the IRS(not from a tax filer like HR block) then you should be getting in the next few weeks.

Actually, if you check the schedule at irs.gov, you'll see those who filed electronically may get their checks over a month before those who filed paper returns.

It does not say anything about if you file electronically you will get your money sooner. If you received your return direct deposit, you will receive the stimulus check the same way.

You can file a return electronically and get a paper check.

According to the IRS schedule, if you had direct deposit and your SS # ends in 02, you should get the amount of the rebate deposited into the account you specified on May 2.

However, I have heard that they starting paying them today.  I don't see anything on the IRS website that says they are 5 days ahead of schedule so it may be an urban myth (especially because they are not scheduled to send paper checks until later).

I still don't see anything on IRS' or Treasury's websites, but here's a CNN story that quotes Treasury reps to confirm that payments start today:
