We have been customers since we moved here in March 2010 and when we closed on our house last week we called to transfer service. The technician came out on September 3rd and hooked everything up and I got a notice that they pulled my credit on September 5th and it dropped 2 points!! WTH?!? Why would they need to pull it when we've been customers this long and why AFTER it was hooked up? I finally had all scores above 600 and now it's back under.
Similar experience except I signed up for new service. I pulled my CR a month ago had three inquires from comcast in the month I signed up for service. I sent comcast a letter asking them to justify these inquiries because they only needed to pull my score one time. Not sure if anything will come of this but its worth a try, I will let you know the outcome Just mailed the letter last week.
