Suggestions please

Wish I would of found this forum a month ago... Smiley Happy

That being said here is my current situation.

I have and EQ score of 608 and a TU score of 642  ( the 608 reflects that I just got a Circuit CIty card ) the TU doesn't show it so I expect it will drop when WAMU updates it next month.

On my CR I have 1 Paid Civil Judgement

1 Paid CO  Medical

1 Unpaid Col

1 CC limit of  $500  balance $50   4 years old

1 CC limit of   $500 balance of $150  3  1/2 years old
1 CC limit of   $600  balance of $100 3 1/2 years old

1 CC limit of $500   balance of $375  3 years old
1 CC limit of $3000 balance of $2600 almost 2 years old

1 brand new Circuit City card 0 percent $1000 limit and balance. ( had I known about this site would not of opened this card....

1 auto loan almost 2 years old

Payment history on all reporting accounts is perfect.

I am going to start the HPPA process on the paid medical

I am going to try a PFD for the unpaid collection.

My question revolves around the CC's

How to attack them in terms of credit scoring impact.

Right now I could pay off the 4 small balance cards, and just do mins, on the other two, then start paying more towards the final two?  Is that a reasonable plan?

Thanks for any input.

Right now you are at 65^ util if you don't add in the circuit city account.  You will gain quite a lot of points if you get everything down to below 10%.  Get the first four accounts paid asap (before the statement cuts if possible)

Next month start attacking that 2600 balance.  Any chance you're open to some credit line increases?

Re: Suggestions please

If I tried to get CLI would they need to pull hard or soft inquiries?  I have never asked for any on any of my cards...

This whole time I have been imagining that it was better to have balances to build your credit scores...

AAhh..

Re: Suggestions please

Bet your paying a lot of interest each month on that $2600 balance card. I'd pay that down first. Saving $$ always takes precedence.
