I know this is vantage score but I have to wait another 20 days to see Fico score effect.
I was checking to see my score updates (you wait 7 days for Credit Karma) and was surprised to see my score jumped up 24 points (well alrighty then).
My last collection (5 months early due to disputing wrong date of first deliquency CA didn't match original creditor) dropped off equifax and score went up 21 points.
The surprise was the point increase because when this same collection fell off TU my score stayed the same so I expected the same result whenever this one was removed.
21 points for collection and picked up 3 points for inquiry dropping off.
More surprised because I didn't expect the inquiry dropping off (due to 2 year age) to give me points because I was under the impression points were given back after 12 months.
One thing about Credit Karma I like is it shows you exactly what affected your score.
(Little background) started with average scores across the bureau 1 year 11 months ago (500,505,512) now lowest Fico 660.
Like I said in previous post I'm not one of the ones who follow all the rules zero out balances, keep all balances below 30%, have less than half report balances etc. BUT I do pay on time and make payments well above minimums.
Credit keeps creeping up slowly so that's good for me. Not looking to do anything major in the near future.
Just basically showing how the same events sometimes affect scores on different bureaus. You never know really what the hell is going to happen lol.
