Tax Lien removed and score dropped 14 points!!

I recently had a state tax lien removed from Exp, and my score DROPPED 14 points. Depressing. No, nothing else changed....I did pay off one credit card. I thought my score would go up, at least a little....anyone know why this happened?

You are now in a "Bucket" with others that do not have a public record-

This means your score can reach a higher level-

The tax lien was an error. It shouldn't have been filed, and the release that was subsequently recorded said as much. Nonetheless, it popped up on all three credit reports about 9 months after it was filed and released. I wrote letters with all supporting documentation from state tax department re the error, and, so far, only Experian has deleted it. The others have just said "reporting as released," but I want it GONE. Not that it helped me much! Frustrating, truly frustrating.
