Thank you! Mom got 2 AMEX cards!

Thanks to everyone here and the knowledge that I learned, my mom was able to be approved for the Delta Skymiles and Starwoods card for a credit limit each of $2000. Today, she received the Delta Skymiles card and activated it as well as increased her credit limit to $3000. Amazing...we're still in shock. I love this forum (though I don't post much but I sure on it a lot!). Thanks guys!

COngratulations! This is fantastic. BTW what were your mom's scores at the time of application?

To be honest, I'm not sure! But I knew her scores were better than mine.

First congrats to the OP. However, I have a question. What's all the hype about Amex cards. I don't understand what's the benefit in them? They give FR's and are really big on security which can sometimes be anoying but it seems that everyone puts up with them and are happy to get one. I have the Costco card and use it for the rewards aspect and that's it. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.
