The NFCU new account inquiry question?

I've really been trying to backoff from applying for new accounts because I have six inquiries back in December.  Does applying for a new checking/savings account at NFCU effect me as much as applying for a new CC?  Thank you

After falling off the wagon while in the garden... And going 2 for 4 on a drapping spree I've finally received my coveted Discover More. And now I'll limp back to the garden.

I can't be sure for NFCU, but I can tell you that most credit unions do a hard pull for joining.

Unfortunately the inq are not distinguished on your CR, so yes, the inq for joining would be the same on your CR as an inq for a CC app. However, NFCU does not HP to open a ckg or savings: only to join and app for credit products. Sometimes they pull one CR for joining and a different one for apps -- usually EQ and TU. Also, they do separate inq for every credit product, regardless of how closely together you app.

EQ FICO 750 | TU FICO 761 (Walmart) | EX FAKO 767 | Goal: 800+

Thank you for responding... However I was a little confused with your answer.  I believe at first you said that they don't do an inquiry for a new membership and then you said they sometimes do.  Could you please elaborate?  Thank you
