Few months ago I found an non-PP inquiry by a bottom feeder called Zwicker and Associates, PC, leeches disguised as attorneys.
I immediately filed complaints and a lawsuit. One of their responses to a complaint helps understand how they really operate.
"I note that your credit report lists an XXXX account closed by credit grantor. An account by XXXX has been placed in collection with us. I further note that the account placed with this firm contains specific identifying information including a home address of ....."
Well, the XXXX account has never been used with my home address reported in my CRs, it was associated with a business address, it was closed many years before, and it actually never went to collection - it was closed as I switched to a different account number with the same company. But the collector does know this, they fish for infromation, and then they justify backwards their actions. In fact they never responded with a specific account number, or an amount owed, or any other validation information.
Always fight illegal inquiries, they might be preparing some nasty surprise and it's important not to give them a chance to do harm.
BTW, their inquiry has so far been deleted, the AG got on their case, and in the next few weeks I'm headed to hit them in court.
