TransUnion....I'm furious!!!

I have accounts that were last updated Dec, 2007!!!!  JC Penney hasn't been updated since Jan, 2008!!!!  Macy's is two months behind.  Sears is another Dec, 2007!!!!

This is PLAIN RIDICULOUS!  What's the attack plan here?

Re: TransUnion....I'm furious!!!

WOW!!! I have a Macys account and my cycle date is 21st. I called on that date this month and they gave me an increase.. So i pulled my TU just 5 min ago and everything is updated with new balance and credit limit! I wonder how they go about updating peoples file.

Re: TransUnion....I'm furious!!!

You have to call JC Penney, Macy's and Sears.

It's not really up to the CRA's to contact the creditor to update the info.

I had the same problem with my BofA card I've had for like 3 or 4 years now.

They said they report to all 3 agencies and it wasn't showing on my Experian. Called a credit specialist at BofA, he pulled my Experian that they have (doesn't count as a Hard Inquiry I don't think... didn't think to ask if it's considered a soft pull), and he saw that it wasn't there for whatever reason and e-mailed Experian to get it taken care.

Told me it would take 30 days minimum, possibly up to 2 months max.

It's transunions problem.  These creditors update monthly and I have verified that.

Re: TransUnion....I'm furious!!!

Beats me then.

I didn't get much of an answer from the CRA. The BofA guy was much more helpful and e-mailed Experian for me.

The Experian rep thought I was calling to dispute and get a BofA account off my report instead of finding out why it's not on there to begin with.
