Transunion Hard Inquiry from Pulling AnnualCredit Report.com?

Wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself. My son pulled his 3 free annual reports from the reco'd site and received a hard pull on his TU from Transunion Interactive. I am going to have him call Monday. This is BS.

I agree.  This is so uncommon that I would suspect it was just a simple coding error.

Certainly sounds like it, particularly nasty if it happened to people that don't even notice the mishap (if the the error isn't auto corrected.)

He called and they claim it is not on his credit report. He requested a hard copy be mailed so we shall see if it is on the actual report. His mother's SS# is listed as a variant under personal information on his Equifax report. He called they say it is not on his report. When we looked at his actual report there was no listing there under personal info. The Equifax report that I saw it the one you would receive if you purchase Credit Watch Gold or Score Watch. 

You have to wonder just how many mistakes make the reports of people who never check and forever has mis info listed.
