Can I do anything about Transunion not correcting my credit report even after filing a dispute? Sorry it's long but here's what happened:
My husband and I applied for a loan in Septemeber 2021 and found I needed to up my score 12 points to qualify; so we did a few things to up the score but not really looking in depth at why it was low.
We applied for a mortgage and they informed us that transunion had incorrect information for an installment account that I was late on. (I know just pay my bills; which I did) I was late March - July 2020; due to a medical emergency and then again for the month of October 2020; because I did not receive a bill when we moved in September 2020, but I called and paid the full amount in Oct 2020 and have not been late for anything else.
When I disputed the account to Transunion in October 2021; they investigated and deleted the account fully, but kept the incorrect 8 late payments on my credit report, thus lowering my credit utilization and my score by 42 points on 11/20/21.
Transunion also reported I was late January - May 2021; yet there was no balance or activity during any of 2021 and I did not use the
account until October 2021 when they offered to increase my credit limit to $1,700. I sent the loan statements and my credit report screen from the other 2 agencies but Transunion refuses to correct the issues like the other 2 did.
Transunion says it's the loan company's fault and the loan company says they never reported the late payments or asked for the account to be deleted.
Thoughts or suggestions?

Can you clarify this? They deleted the account and left the lates? If the loan office is local. I'd pay them a visit in person and fix this issue.
It was strange to both me and my mortgage lender; but the account shows it was deleted on my Credit Karma updates where my score went down 42 points but the late payments were still showing with the account closed. Looking further; it looks like they took the payments for 2020 and just copied and put them on 2021 without verifying.
Are you only looking at Credit Karma? Vantange Scores do not show closed accounts. It would certainly appear that the account has been deleted; since it's still on your reports with baddies, I'm sure the baddies would still show.
Checked all 3 CRA's and my lender showed exactly what it said; she's the one who let me know since I haven't checked anything in a month or 6 weeks with packing & moving across country.
