Trust the Process!

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to post this on the forum, havent been on in a while!

I started this forum rocking a terribly high 500 credit score(i believe it was a 573). I thought there was no way out. I was always told that once your credit goes bad its bad for life and your life is over haha. So i read through all the forums, learned how to play the credit game and turned things around. My credit score is now over 800 and i have you guys to thank! Thanks for everyones help, you guys are doing a wonderful thing!

Anyone suffering from a low score remember it takes time!

Re: Trust the Process!

Congrats.

There are good times and bad times.

Take the misty mountain hop over the hills and far away, and may be some dazed and confused months...

but when the levee breaks,  you can take a dip in the ocean.

Dont get trampled under foot when ten years gone, you can want a whole lotta love and then ramble on

leave the heart breaker alone and taste the tangerine ....

yes, it pays off over time. that is an accomplishment that is great!

Congrats!

I was in that same sinking boat as you. 490 credit score, no understanding of credit cards or credit scores. I didn't even know if 490 was a bad thing — and I was 28 year's old. I felt so deflated when I looked up ways to improve it, I just thought to myself, "well, I made it this far with it bad, I can keep going."

Then reality hit like a sack of bricks. Good credit is needed! It really didn't matter how much I had in the bank or how much I've saved up. I was throwing cash at everything, and I was just spinning in circles not getting anywhere. Two years later, I'm 30 now, 730 Fico score, able to get my dream apartment in NY, and using my credit cards to work for me.

Stressful journey, yes, but as you said, trust the system. I set a realistic goal and got there just by following the basic rules.
