Hello and welcome to the forums.
You will need to go through the process and send in the required information to receive your CRs by mail. It doesn't take that long.
yeah i am in Asia so mail won't work for me. I guess I need to try some of the paying sites to get it online or email? please recommend a few thanks.
so does it sound like ID theft? or don't worry too much until I get my report? I did try freecreditreport.com but it takes 2 days for me to get it by email
They tend to throw some none of the above type questions at you, but if you didn't get at least one of the three, and none of the questions were familiar to you, then yes, it could be a case of identity theft.
The paid sites might run into the same problem as what you have had. Maybe you could try calling them and telling them your situation, they might have a solution for you.
yeah I did equifax twice on annaulcreditreport.com and none of the 4 questions I am familiar to. I tried to do it again and it doesn't even give the the identification questoins anymore, it goes straight to get your report by mail.
I actually can't access annaualcreditreport.com from Asia, so I used proXPN and have an IP from the states. Even though I can go to the site, maybe they sense something wrong so won't give me the report online and have to do it by mail? I hope that's the case.
well I gonna call them and see what they say...thanks for the help sir!
ok I called equifax about the problem, and they say I got the current address wrong, and also my DOB is wrong. But actually they messed it up so I told them to correct the DOB. So 2 mistakes no wonder I can't access my report. anyways she says that I got no car loan or any loans in the report, such a relieve because the identification questions it kept on saying I got 3 diff loans. and she said that no creditors pulled my thing for awhile. What does that mean? does it mean no identity theft for sure? no any loans for sure? because I tried to get my report from annualcreditreport.com with the correct info, but it still won't let me get it online. I guess I tried to accessed it for too many times so they locked me out or something? Should I try deleting my cookies or try in 24 hours or something? anyways it sounds like there is no problem....thanks a lot for you guys help!!!!
also I was trying to get the customer service number for equifax but in the site you have to sign in etc to get the number, so I googled it and here it is if anyone need the number. they got a lot of numbers and the top one is the least waiting time. http://gethuman.com/phone-number/Equifax/all/
If no one has pulled your CR for some time, then that means no new credit, so probably no ID theft. This is a good thing.
big big relieve, thanks for all your help sir
