I'm following, and thank you for taking the time to humor me on those questions. I'm not going to bother making an additional request for removal, especially when as you state they had every legal right to make the inquiry. It seems like I'd just be making myself look like trouble to them, more than accomplishing anything beneficial and that's not how I want to come across to somebody I'm about to ask for a line of credit from.

Wachovia hard pulled my report, too, when I opened checking/saving accounts. I'm not happy about it either. I'm depositing my money with them; I should be more worried about the bank going under than them being worried about me. But, alas, it's probably buried there somewhere in the terms and conditions.

 

I also opened a Capital One checking/savings earlier but apparently they didn't do a HP.
