Verizon Fios Hard Inquiry Recoded To A Soft Pull

Verizon pulled hard or so I thought last September for a sales call. Someone was canvassing the neighborhood selling Fios. I explicitly told the salesperson I won't even talk to you if you are going to pull my credit report. Never signed anything never bought Fios. I was trying not to apply for anything and was esp po'd when I saw a hard pull on Experian. It was showing as a hard pull until today when I notice it is now coded as soft.

Hi smallfry...did you contact them? Ask them to recode to a soft? Or, did this just happen?

No I made no contact with them whatsoever. It was reporting as a hard pull since September 28 2009. I do peek every now and again at my actual Experian and it had been listed in the hard pulls a couple of dozen times that I saw. A couple of days ago it had moved on down to the soft pull area. I'm not complaining just wondering if it had happened to anyone else that never contacted the OC.
