Verizon Wireless- Is it possible to get another account?

I had a Verizon Wireless account about 7-9 years ago that I settled on for less than the full amount.  I am looking to get another cell phone with them but was wondering if they would approve me again for a new account.  I currently have my work phone with them and wanted a personal line.  The old account is no longer on my CR but I know that it will probably still come up in their systems as a settle for less than full account.  Anyone have any luck with approvals without having to put down a downpayment?

I think anything is possible. IMO, I dont think VZ has a sophisticated customer history database thats keeps up to 10 years  worth of customer history compared to what AMEX has. By now, I tihnk your account history should have been purged by now. If not, the worst case is paying a deposit or going with another provider.

I have a friend that had a chargeoff with Verizon and in less than 3 years she has another cell pnone with them. They sent her a letter saying that she was such a great customer that they wanted her back. I think these companies want business real bad.
