My Fico scores:
- Equifax: 497
- TransUnion: 505
- Experian: 537
I have all kinds of crap: late payments, judgments, charge offs, collections, basically all the good stuff. Some of it recent some of it from 2000/2001...
Anyways, here is the weird part:
Yesterday I did a research on secured credit cards and figured that by far Orchard
is the best option for very-very-very bad credit. So I loaded up their page,
punched my info and viola, next page showed:
I've been pre-approved for Orchard Secured MC, etc., etc. Then I read the
agreement and decided not to apply, figured paying ~200 in fees on my 300 own money
is not exactly what I want now. So I've just canceled transaction.
Now, I went to bed last night and today I though about it again, and figured that screw the fees ~$200 is nothing compare to all these years of "sorry you're not qualified" stuff. I went back to Orchard's site, punched my info again and this time
I've got two options:
1st: Orchard Silver MC (!!!Unsecured!!!)
2nd: Good old Secured MC, the only ONE option I had yesterday.
What gives? Not only there is less fees in setups, monthly, yearly, but its unsecured... So I've picked unsecured, on next page typed my address, phone, employment info and suddenly my phone rang, I was like WTF, its 3am, then computer voice told me that its a call to check a valid line (looks like they automatically called to verify). Next page they congratulated me and gave me $300 CL. I've added auto-bill pay for it already, since I always tend to forget to mail payments... we'll see if its true, or they'd call tomorrow and say that they're sorry it was system failure

So I just wanted to share this with everyone that is thinking about getting CC secured/unsecured. BTW, the only good thing on my credit report is my past auto-loan for 625/month for 36/months with I paid on time and paid off 2 years early. Other then that, its a shot.
