Wf show EX fico score 9. It is reliable as of the date it is pulled. But the only updated it once a month, so for the rest of the month there could be changes. This is not the score used for auto koans or mortgages. For Cc card issuers that pull ex, they can use 9, or 8, or even another model. The difference between my 9 and 8 scores is tat my credit score 8 is 5 points higher.

How reliable is the Fico scoring from Wells Fargo? Has anyone seen any major discrepancies between it and any other way to access your Fico 9 score?
Thanks!
It might be different if the fico 09 score is obtained at a different CRA. My Wells Fargo account pulls from Experian, and I assume yours does as well. If a fico 09 score is pulled on the same day from the same CRA, it will be the same score. Experian only has 1 fico 09 score on each person, but their are other scores such as the fico bankcard score. I don't know if there is a fico bankcard 09 score yet. There is for sure a fico 08, and a fico bankcard 08. You have only 1 fico 09 score from each of the 3 major CRA's, and all 3 of those may be, and most likely are different. Some lenders do not report to all 3 CRA's, and inqueries from a hard pull from 1 CRA will not affect the score at the other 2 CRA's. Banks and credit card issuers do not generate the score, and the experian fico 09 score will be the same no matter who pulls it. Likewise, the TU foco 09 score will be the same no matter who pulls it and so will equifax.

Many credit card issuers pull a fico bankcard 08...I know Citi does, and they say so in the faq section of the fico score page. The citi fico score is a fico bankcard 08 score which is on a 250-900 point scale. Since the scale goes up to 900, and the most common score fico 08 maxes out at 850, the bankcard score will usually be a bit higher than the fico 08. So far, the fico 08, and fico 09, track fairly closely for me. I think I read where the fico 09 does not count medical debt or collection accounts under 100 dollars. Due to that some people will have fico 09 scores that are significantly higher than fico 08.
The below table from Fico lists all scores available in their 3B report (note the Fico 9 Auto and Bankcard scores).
I continue to be annoyed by the incorrect location of EX score 3 in the table - it is NOT a Bankcard score; it is a Classic version score with score range 300 - 850.

It's certainly reliable, as it's an actual Fico score, based on EX data (in my case). The only caveat is that it's specifically a Fico 9 score. Fico 9 is slowly being adopted here and there, but most places still use Fico 8 and/or other versions of the score. So the score is accurate, but if you apply for credit with another lender, there is a very good chance that they will use a different version of the score. You can usually google which CRA they normally pull from, and I believe there is a list of lenders who specifically pull Fico 9 on these forums (somewhere).
In terms of getting a more relevant idea of what your score is, it's better to try and find your Fico 8 score. It could be similar to your Fico 9, but may not be. My EX Fico 9 score is 26 points higher than my EX Fico 8, for example.
If it helps, if you are applying for a credit card with WF, I have heard that they tend to pull a Fico 9 score - possibly the same one that you see on your account.
I don’t know what score wf uses for credit decision, but for acount (at least banking customer) holders they show ex9

WF EX9 is 100% accurate at the time it's pulled and displays in your account.
Yeah, I have WF and that score threw me off quite a bit. My FICO 9 scores are greatly different than my FICO 8s in some regards. Not really sure what to do about it but hopefully cleaning up my reports will bring them more in line with eachother.

Wow, that's quite the difference! My Fico 8 and 9 scores have always been divergent, but always in the opposite direction - Fico 9 always higher than Fico 8. That makes sense for me, though, as I have an old collections account in my history and Fico 9 doesn't weigh paid collections, while Fico 8 still does...
