Re: What's Hurting Your Score...

From what I have seen, I am inclined to disagree with the "hurts you quite a bit until day removed" comment for 90 day derogs.    Obviously it will hurt more than a 30, but the issue that caused these derogs is the same one that caused the bk that occurred at the same time.

We shall see.   In Dec 07, 2 months out of discharge, I was at 620-640, and I am running them again later this month so we shall see.  Once we get to late 2009, I am hoping to be at 675 and 700 the following year.

Re: What's Hurting Your Score...

Hello!  I have a 90 day late from 2001, it was in May. Should I dispute, or will it go away in May? Does it hurt much?  Thank You

I didn't say a 90-day "hurts you quite a bit until the day it is removed."

I made two different statements:

1) A 90-day still hurts quite a bit when it is only two years old.
2) A 90-day hurts until it is removed.

Both of those are true.  I would agree that the statement you attributed to me is not true, but I never made that statement.

I just pulled my TU report today. Under the " Whats hurting your score it reads:You have a serious delinquency (60 days past due or greater) or a derogatory description on your credit report". The only late item I have on my TU is a 30 day late that they listed. I have looked through every item on my report and can't find where the 60 day + item is. However, I have an idea it could be a 90 day late on a student loan that does appear on my EX and EQ reports. The loan itself has always appeared on my TU but the lates never have, they are from June 03. Do you think I should give TU a call or just leave it alone?

As mentioned, leave it!

TU did the same to me. I have a car loan with several  lates. These lates are within 3-5 or more years, but definitely at the 3 yr mark. They are also clearly marked on the FICO TU CR. However, in the section that mentions the good things that help, it says this: You have no missed payments on your credit accounts (Number of accounts with a missed payment: ZERO).

I'm not complaining any....
