When To Start Checking Credit Report

I am 18, with no credit history as far as I know. I applied for 2 credit cards in the past month. Should I start checking my credit report now, or should I wait until I actually start building credit?

IMO, check it at least once a quater to make sure nothing appears that shouldn't be there (e.g. ID theft).

check all 3 for free www.annualcreditreport.com this site gives you your report once a year for free from transunion, equifax, and experian.

Even though you might not have much if anything on your report, it's a good idea to have a copy of all 3 reports as a 'base' starting point to compare things to down the road. You may have to wait a few months to get your reports, I believe you need some history before a report can be generated.
