Capital One offers a free TransUnion Vantage score. So for a new card or credit limit increase, does Cap One use the vantage score or does it use your FICO score? My Vantage score is much higher.
They use a mortgage score. Don't remember which one off the top of my head.

CapOne does not use Vantage scores for underwriting, and with the exception of Synchrony which uses Vantage 4.0 for at least some of their underwriting decisions, I know of no other lenders which use any form of Vantage for new card starting limits or credit limit increases.
What they do use is some form of FICO score, which one I do not know. I applied for three CapOne cards in 2020 (one denial, one approved and then closed 7 weeks later because I didn't like it, and one approved), and each time they hit all three credit bureaus with a hard pull. Then in May of this year I took a whack at a CLI (I didn't need it, just did it for kicks and grins) and they hit me with a soft pull from each of the three credit bureaus.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!

They also use EX FICO3 (card score)
