Hi All,
(Any collections specialist here?) I have a credit card that went into collections a very long time ago. It went to a collections company after a court judgment resulting in monthly payments until paid in full. Currently because it's been so long the judgment and collections report has been taken off my credit report (yay!) I am still paying it and now finally able to settle for a lesser amount.
My questions are ...in doing so will it show back up on my credit report and hurt my score? Start the 7years over again? Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks

No and No. Once the 7.5 yr max period runs it can never again be put on your CR legally. Welcome to the board ![]()
