Will they see this late payment?

I am admitting that my car payment was a little late
(1 week)  last month.  I pulled my crdit report and it shows that my last payment was late.  Not 30 days but late.  Can creditors see this?  Will this affect my score?

Re: Showing a late payment

I cant tell if you are talking about seeing the late on your monthly loan statement since your CR will only show 30, 60,90,120 days late.  It wont just say late.

If you are talking about seeing the late on your CR, it should say how late which in this case would be 30 days.

They reason a CCC would make a payment as 30 days late for only being a week late is that some companies (Wells Fargo) would mark a payment 30 days late if it wasnt paid by the time the next months statement droped.  This happend to me.

The affect on your score can be seen by using the Score Simulator if you purchased your report from here.  Yes anyone who pulls your report may see it.  If you have a good payment history on the loan I would try to work with the loan company to GW the late.

Not to sound rude, but I did not mention anything about a loan statement.  My Equifax credit report has right below where the 30 60 90 day section that the loan was 7 days passed due.  I have been pulling my credit report for some time now and this is the first time I seen this.  I am guessing that this is only information to be seen only by me.  But I want clarification.  I may have to contact Eqifax themselves.

Re: Will they see this late payment?

If you car payment/loan 7 years history shows the number of times 30,60,90,.. late is 0, then there is no effect on your FICO score.  Anyone who pulls your CR can read the TL's so if the last info was placed in the TL, then they would see it.

I dont think anyone besides your car's lean holder would be interested in the TL though.  It is intersting that late payments would fall off your credit report after 7 years but I think the TL info would remain.
