Yes - I have told people on this board before- that they need to pay off the "old balance"

DW- has not gotten the CLI yet, but get here ARP cut in half to 12.9

My APR is down to 14.9 and CL fro (2) ar $500 to 1 at $4500.

Yeah I forgot to mention another Revolving Account that I have at a lower Util. I have a Dell account at at $850 balance on a $2k limit. Honestly my CCs aren't out of control. I just thought, "Who cares if I revolve the debt rather than pay it in full." I mean, the CCCs are just getting richer off of me doing this and I am leaving myself with more liquidity if anything were to happen. Of course, now I know that they want me to spend money and make them some interest but they also want to see that I can payback whatever they lend me. Well the jokes on them, the balances will be going down drastically over the next 5 months. Smiley Very Happy
As for Crapital One, I decided to take a more proactive approach. I called them and asked them, what in my profile would keep me from getting a CLI. The guy told me, "I see where you have never gone over your limit and you have always made your minimum payments if not more. But Mr. (Berraco58), have you ever paid in full? At (Crapital) One, we don't have CLI requests. We are a very conservative lender and do all our CLI automatically. I am sure that if you were to pay in full at least once, that you should see a CLI. If not then please call and tell us that you have good history and have even paid in full so why haven't you received a CLI."
He pretty much told me that my never having paid in full ... EVER ... was what was keeping me from getting a CLI. Interesting. Looking forward to it. Kinda makes me wanna pay that one off first since its pretty low (compared).

You must have merged the two cards into 1 along with some CLIs.

They started to tell me that I could merge my two Capital Ones into one card rather than getting a CLI. Then they realized that one was a MC and the other was a Visa. The guy told me I couldn't do it! Smiley Mad I was kind of dissapointed, I was hoping to pursue this option in the future.

The ones I combined- 1 Was a Visa and one a MC.
So I say BS-

Newer card had the higher limit, older card had the lower APR. I was a no brainier.

Yes, Timothy, and I've paid attention.Smiley Happy  I hope to have my utility around 10% by April or May-love to do it before if I could.  I've also called around to all of my cards trying to get rate reductions, so far only Shell and Citi have obliged.  Target and JC Penny say that because of market conditions, they cannot.  My Orchard and Household are already pretty low, Citi's ok.  Chase just blatantly refuses-oh, we can't do that!  I'll keep calling, though.
