They are giving some people closed by consumer. You should most definitely request that they do this for you. It might hurt under manual review but it is not a big baddie. Better off not there so give Juniper a piece of your mind. Can't hurt.

Re: account closed by grantor

i asked, the credit specialist said under the law they have to report that way. i was ticked and said i would def dispute it they report as closed by grantor. why give me a card if i should have been denied, i'll eat the decline, but to say i meet the standard then 3 weeks later pull this crap. no way!

thanks, hopefully this was just a company line. we'll see how juni handles the situation system wide. i can't be the only one with this issue.

Have you tried contacting someone higher up. I don't see how your rating changed in three weeks and if i should have been a decline, the card never should have reportedtoyour files in the first place.  I would ask for a phone number of address higher up.

I would dispute this TL as not mine if it reports (why, cuz it ain't yours). Rest assured this new account will adversely affect your average-age of accounts and probably lower your scores. FICO scoring doesn't care who closed the account but I do agree with smallfry that it could be an issue under a manual review.

As far as I'm concerned, TC and Juniper (Barclays) can leave the planet!

Re: account closed by grantor

well those idiots at juniper reported it closed by grantor, as promised. i sent out a dispute letter earlier this week for other issues, i'll wait to see how that pans out then work on juni.
