I have had a couple of alerts recently for increases in balances. Both alert me that two of my accounts have had increases, however the same account is listed twice. It seems I am getting double damage for the same hit. Can any give a quess on what is going on?
Where are you getting the alerts from?
MyFico.
Hi and welcome to MyFICO community forums!
If you have duplicate tradelines, you can send in a dispute to the reporting agency and they can remove one tradeline. Ask for it to be deleted due to it being a duplicate.
Thanks. Appreciate the feedback.
How can I tell who the reporting agency is? Thanks.
What are you signed up for EQ Scorewatch or TU Quarterly?
It would be the CRA associated with the monitoring you have.
I would also get a report directly from the CRA and see if there are in fact 2 accounts listed before disputing anything.

OP, is this from ScoreWatch?
If so, know that you do not have two of the same account. By default SW will alert you to any balance increase by x% and also by $x. I think it's 1% and $5 by default. So, if your CC increases by both $5 or more [and] more than 1%, then you'll get a double alert for the same account. And no double damage.
If annoying, you can disable one of the two. Simply go into Settings and change one of the alerts to "N" for No and the double alerts will go away.
Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for your help. That answered my question.
