avg age of accounts?

I know mortgages don't figure into your utilization.  I'm attempting to GW a past mortgage that has lots of lates.  It was only 2 years, anyway.  (Divorce really is necessary sometimes).  I'm wondering if anyone has feedback on if it counts on your average age of accounts.  With it being a "short" account, I was going to see if they could just delete it altogether.

Re: avg age of accounts?

All accounts count towards average age of accounts except for CAs and PRs.

The fact that is a "short" account, as you said, is not important in average age.  The only factor is how old it is, not how long it was open.

Re: avg age of accounts?

It was opened in 2002 and closed 2005.  I have several accounts that are much older and in good standing. Right now my avg age is 6 yrs with my oldest being 12 1/2 yrs old.  It will hurt worse keeping the lates on the TL, even though they're a little old, there were several 90s.  Besides that EQ just can't seem to grasp that they're mortgage accts instead of revolving.
