can lenders see if you check your own credit? say i apply for an auto loan or a credit card, can those lenders tell that i check my own credit several times a week with equifax monitoring service or other services like credit karma or myfico? also can they see how many times we hit the luv button for a cli and whether or not we are denied?
thanks!
No, they cannot.
The only reason they'd ever be able to see if you hit the luv button is if it resulted in a hard pull.
Soft inquiries aren't shared with creditors.
The very definition of a soft pull is that it is not included in any credit report provided to anyone other than the consumer.

No. Clicking on a CLI button and an HP are two entirely different things. The former may involve the latter but it all depends on whether the creditor requires a hard pull for CLI. Not all do and not in all cases. What they can see on your reports are hard pulls. They cannot see soft pulls.
You can pull your own reports and see for yourself. If you're not regularly checking your reports for accuracy and fraud then definitely do so.
reason for the topic is this.... when i check my equifax reports by using my monitoring service with equifax, i can see a huge list of sp's in their own section at the end of the report. i can see each week where credit karma updates as well as sp's from quizzle, capital one when i did the CLI, and sp's from equifax when i update my stuff about twice a week or so. also listed there are promotional inq's from various insurance companies like state farm and liberty mutual.
i didnt know if that information was also viewable by lenders when they reviewed my reports. i always assumed it wasnt but since it was on my report for me to see, i was a bit curious.
thanks for the info!
Credit monitoring sercies are given permission by the named consumer, and thus are permitted access as if they were the consumer.
Most do not show soft pulls, but they could.
