checking account

    if i open up a chase CHECKING account will the account report to my credit report every month?

i am just wondering if a credit inquiry will show a checking account is open and active

No!  Only revolving(credit cards) and installment(loans) accounts are reported to the CRA's

You will get an INQ on your CR but the new account won't show up.  I wish they would also check to see if they would approve you for a CC since they are doing the INQ anyway.

on my report the inq comes up as a soft inquiry. i have since checked my Credit Report.

i recently had my credit pulled by a lender and there are no inquiries on my report (but on my experian pull it shows as soft)

so nobody will ever know the bank pulled my report!!! yay!!
