co-sign

ok, i know you can be added to a cc, (au) (joint). what about a truck loan my dad has had for about a year. ca he add me to it? if someone co-signs for you on a loan, say a car loan, is it a sucured loan? au? joint? one other thing, what if i wanted a cc with a 10000 cl, but i needed a co-signer (dad), can this be done, would this be a joint account? thanks

A one year old auto loan will not do much for you FICO-
You normally would need to qualify to be added to the account or a new account created.
 
This $ amount for the payment will also be considered in you DTI when applying for other credit.

It will be a joint secured loan

There are no co-signer CC's,  Joint, Individual and AU.
So he may be able to add you as a joint holder- you would equaly be responsible for the charges.
