I received a book in the mail a few months back that I did not order. I meant to send it back but forgot. I recently received a collection notice from a collection company. I don't mind paying for the book but I'm worried about credit consequences if I do so. Should I pay the collection company, pay the original bill from the publishing company, or do I have any other options? Thank you.
