denial for a small medical bill?

do you think  I would get a denial for a small medical bill for $239?

It is actually in dispute because they never billed insurance and I had 2 insurance companies at the time!

I was told that they had little impact on your score but would a creditor deny me for medial collection or does they code they use for medical collections on your credit report distinguish it ?

Re: denial for a small medical bill?

The unfortunate thing is a collection is still a collection account regardless of what the reason is. There is no code that distinguishes whether it is medical or not. Call the collection company, explain the circumstances, and see if they are willing to remove it.

I would mail a letter asking why they never filed a claim with the ins. co.   Be sure to include all the ins info.

When you hear back go from there.

Paid medical must be deleted but it must be done right.

There are HIPAA letters and steps to follow.
