disappearing inquiries

Is anyone else having this experience? On both Equifax and Transunion, my hard inquiries have been dwindling. On Experian, they are still there since 2007. Having gone on an app spree and buying a car last fall, I have 23 inquiries on EX (most lenders around here seem to pull only EX) and now 0, yes 0, on TU and 6 on Equifax, though frankly, only 2 show up for Creditchecktotal.

I wish I knew how to inspire EX to drop some of them!

Re: disappearing inquiries

Hey likewise, this is a phenomenon called b*. It's due to unstable platforms at both EQ and TU. EQ has tried to fix it with some of the population by cleaning off old soft INQs, thus leaving room for all of the hards to remain. TU has tried to fix it by re-inserting the hard INQs back onto some of the population's reports. Neither action has worked long-term across the board.

People have been aware of b* for a long time.
