general question

Is there is an accepted limit between applying for a new credit card so that the score is not negatively impacted?

Re: general question

From my understanding it is 1 year though the inquiry remains for 2 years. I may be wrong but someone will soon correct me, that's what I love about this site. Smiley Happy

Re: general question

The inquiry counts against (or in) your score for one year - it remains on your report for 2 years.  Only if a lender actually LOOKS at the report will they see anything from 13-24  months.  Many issue cards by score  & for a mortgage the whole report is used.
