13 new accts since Aug 07.  Taking an app break until all inq are 1 yrs old.  Can't wait until Mar 09!

In the last year, 15 new accounts, not including the loan for the camper as that bank doesn't report.

As of May 13:  TU  672    9 inq's (divine intervention here!)

                        EQ 649  23 inq's

Raised available credit from 10,900 to over 50k so until I get some gw love and recon love I'm done with the damage for awhile!

Zero.

I opened my last one (Fidelity VISA) about 18 months ago.  What a mistake.  It (temporarily) depressed my scores ("oooooh, you have too much new credit!" said the FICO scores) and trashed my average age of accounts.  It was a moment of weakness.  Should have checked into the Sleigh Center ...

Thinking long term, wouldn't it be a good idea to open at least 2 per yr to keep account aging consistant?

ONE in the past year or past 7 years. Thats what a divorce and then foreclosure got me. I very recently got an auto loan. I have no revolving credit or mortgage. I have several good accounts and several baddies-all medical except one, and Im currently working on it. Its no wonder my fico scores/reports are out of whack, lol
After clearing up some baddies, I want to get some revolving credit and in the future, get a mortgage. One step at a time.
