inqs?

do you think there is a difference in inqs, say applying for a cl, (not as hard) too say opening new credit with new company, (harder inq) ?

Categorically they are classified as HARD and SOFT. Soft does not affects your credit score, hard does. However, I heard that HARD pulls of the same nature (like mortgage shopping) does not have huge impact because the FICO score considers the fact that you may be looking for better deal. I am not so sure though.
