Re: it was deleted but i messed up i think?

Since the OC sold the account  they are out of the pic!   the CA that you sent the PFD to  will toss it out.  The new CA that bought the account should  but might not contact you.......they might just appear on you CR!   Nothing that you can do about it until they do!

Make sure that you are ready....know the DOFD/DOLA (medical is date of service)  and know what your SOL  is.

If the old CA is reporting on the other 2 CRAs  and you haven't disputed   do so now!

Happy. Question. If your SOL is 5 years and the collection is on your report for 6 years do they have to remove it? Or is the obligation to pay it expired? Thanks

Re: it was deleted but i messed up i think?

but the CA CMRE sold it to another CA in Jan 2007, here we are 15months later and no other CA has contacted me and CMRE told me they dont have in their computers who the account was sold to, I told CMRE that the account was deleted from EX but not TU she said she would delete it from TU and would take 72 hours, so on mondya i will repull TU to see if it is their or if it was deleted, is their a chance that the new CA didnt contact me cause CMRE is still listed on my CR?
Also lets say the new CA contacts me, and i send PFD can that help w/them not reporting it on my CR? or will they report anyways cause they have the account?

SOL means nothing to CRAs....what you look for is the DOFD/DOLA.........If it is a CA reporting and has been for 6 years  you might be past CRTP (7-7.5 years from DOFD)

SOL is state law  time limit in which a creditor can file a lawsuit & win

Re: it was deleted but i messed up i think?

mom,  as time goes by  you are closer to SOL and CRTP.

IF they contact you or start reporting then you send a DV!!!!  always DV before a PFD!

If they call  do not talk to them   tell them everything must be in writting!

All DV and PFD  get sent CMRRR!!!

Happy--- so when the new CA bought the account does the SOL start over again? I did make a payment early last year(not knowing about a SOL) so now that their is 3 years left in the SOL is that when it starts from the date i made the pymt from the new CA or cause their is  new CA the 4 years starts all over again rather then 3 yeras?    SOL in cali is 4 years on written

NO!! nothing starts over.....IF your state uses DOLA or tolls   any payment will reset SOL!  Nothing changes DOFD. This why you should keep all CR forever....they can be used to show past SOL and CRTP

This doesn't make sense to me   it is Ca law    I have to check on this.

When you made a payment  was it past SOL?

The statute of limitation is stopped only if the debtor makes a payment on the account after the expiration of the applicable limitations period.

So in 10 years you see this same CA reporting or they send you a letter (any CA for this debt) you have proof that it is too old to report and past SOL

DOFD was 10/21/03 i made the payment in somewhere in march or april 2007, so i dont think it was yet 4 years when i made the payment, but i could be wrong i could have made the payment later, i am just not 100% sure, i do know i made the payment is the first part of 2007
