I received two letters in the mail today from CAs regarding medical bills I thought I paid last year. I immediately went online tonight and paid the bills in full with the OCs. My question to the group is because I paid the bills in full Ruth the OC will these collections show up on my CR?
They could show up as paid collections, you would then need to write GW letters to the CA to try and get it removed if they do. Here is the GW Letter thread:
Thank you for the quick reply.
It was interesting that the OC assigned them to the CA in December and January I just visited a LO today and these weren't on any of my reports. When I logged in to the OC's online system tonight, I saw the accounts were still open. Because they are valid debts, I paid them in full. I am going to call the OC'S tomorrow and see if they will close with the CA.
two questions:
because they haven't been reported in 45 and 20 days respectively, do you think the CAs will report them athey all?
And if they report them as 0 balance (concerned about the newer one), how will that effect my score?
I am currently at 653 EX, 625 TU, 593 EQ as of today according to lender pull and 617 EX and TU from myfico.com
I am very happy to report that I called both OCs today and gave them the confirmation numbers from my payments. They both informed me that they will not report on my CR. Seems the CA letters I received were from their internal CAs so they hadn't sold the debt. Because of this I was able to pay the OC and it won't show up on my CR.
