Re: mango money's 6% card

I know. I referred to it as Mango Card. My point is that you get 6% interest on your money up to $5000. I have checked online for reviews & no one has anything negative to say about it. There is even an app you can download. There's no minimum balance. Just a $5 activation fee. They say the reason the 6% stops at $5000 is that by then you've learned to save money. Who's offering 6% on anything these days? There's a reputable bank behind it. I'm planning on using it as a place to keep my emergency money (reSmiley Frustrateduzy Orman.)

It's a good idea... 6% is nice! (And it's not money you have to SPEND to get 6% cash back at grocery stores or wherever.. hehe no 75 annual fee either!)  Smiley Wink

Re: mango money's 6% card

I get by the face that you're not Suze fans. What's wrong with an emergency fund? She taught me little ways to save money & now I have a fund. I haven't learned anything harmful from her.
If you have something better great. I was a beginner. I've brought my score up 252 points. How can you knock that?

Re: mango money's 6% card

I have this and the Union card and have no complaints. In the beginning they froze both cards when I loaded a few thousand on each of them. I rang the number provided and they just wanted to verify that it was me and said that future large loads wouldn't be a problem and they haven't. You do need to have a "direct deposit" to get the 5 or 6% interest, but that's easy. They also let you pull the money out, so you can pay cards or other bills right from the account. It's a really easy way to earn $300 a year and no credit inquiry or minimum spend to meet.

Re: mango money's 6% card

So theorenitically I could get a 3% balance transfer directly into my bank account and make money on the banks money -----because I have a 0% offer ---but not sure I would do that
