mortgage not reporting to equifax?

my most current mortgage (open for 2 years) only shows up on TU and EX. is it because the lender is only reporting to TU and EX? is the lender required to report to all 3?

Re: mortgage not reporting to equifax?

They're not required to report to all three, but that's pretty unusual for a major lender not to.

If you want it to report, you'll need to call the lender and ask them to do so.

Betcha you'll get some questions about score differences between the reports with a mortgage and the one without! Smiley Wink

I'll ask that question. Would you mind sharing your scores. We'd love to see how the scores on your two reports that DO report the mortgage differ from the one that is not reporting. Smiley Wink

Re: mortgage not reporting to equifax?

TU with the mortgage is 56 points higher than EQ. EX with the mortgage is 13 pts higher than EQ.

Re: mortgage not reporting to equifax?

Thank you! Is ther anything else reporting on your TU that could be the cause for the larger increase in score over EX?

Re: mortgage not reporting to equifax?

i forgot to mention that Ex has a collection and TU and EQ do not. however, the Ex score is still 13 pts higher with the mortgage than EQ which has no collection and no mortgage.

im not sure about why TU is so much higher. the reports look the same. but on TU my high utilization is the last negative factor whereas on the other reports it is the 2nd negative factor instead of the last.
