Re: practical value of a huge credit limit?

I don't remember what cards ICED has.  However, CITI provides a EQ-08 BE score.  They pull the 4th Tuesday each month.  Barclay provides a TU-08 score every 60(?) days.   ICED may want to consider signing with Discover and Experian.  That would give two free EX-08 scores.  They update the next time you login after 30 days.  It would be easy enough to pick which dates they want the scores from.

I checked again and noticed that Citi provides EQ and not EX, so I do have coverage of all 3.

- Barclays (TU) reported no change in score (746). Factors were serious delinquincy and number of accounts with delinquincy.

- Citi (EQ) reported an increase in score (756 to 759). Factors were serious delinquincy and number of accounts with delinquincy.

- Discover's website (EX) reported no change in score (756). Factors were serious delinquincy and too few accounts paid as agreed.

Oh, that sounds like pattern time!  Would you mind describing how the lates are distributed in your report?  That's a decent set of scores though for just lates.

 According to Experian report:

- Accounts Ever Late: 5

- Time Since Negative: 4 year, 4 month

Those 5 accounts were one student loan with multiple 90 day lates and 4 credit cards with one or more lates at a max of 30, 60, 60, and 120. All of these lates happened in 2011 and 2012 when I made the monumental mistake of letting my ex manage my finances and payments. Needless to say, it was a disaster and never again will I trust another person with that responsibility.

TU and Equifax only show 4 accounts ever late. One of the 60s never reported to EQ and TU, but again I don't even remember having the card so I chalk it up to something my ex opened in my name. Time since negative is similarly about 4.5 years.

As an aside, going through this looks like either the report adjusted values or Cap One decided to finally consider softening their stance with me. They used to report me as 150 late on the one card and now it's only 120. We haven't spoken for 2+ years though so I find that unlikely.

Citi usually doesn't update their score until a couple of weeks after the pull. My Citi score hasn't been updated for December yet. It is still showing as 11/22/16. Has your Citi score already been updated for December?

Barclays usually only updates their score every 2 months or so. Has your Barclays score been updated since your TU report updated your balance to $0?

Citi is the only one which hasn't updated since the statement cut, though Barclay's is close. I originally thought Citi was EX so I didn't care since I had a current score from experian.com and Discover's free service. If both Citi and Barclays drop "number of accounts with delinquincy" and change it to "too few accounts paid as agreed" in the next month, then there may be a data point there. I don't expect much of a score drop though given what I'm seeing on Discover's free score (which is January).

I decided to throw you all a bone and spent the $1 on a CCT scorecard. Hopefully those who delve deeper into such things can dissect it to see if it told us anything new.  I overshared a bit so you have everything you need hopefully, but if you need more details let me know.

Your TU FICO 8 was 746 with all 3 cards reporting a balance. It is now 757 with only the 2 50K cards reporting a balance.

Do I understant this correctly?

That seems correct, though note the Barclays score is from 12/19. My low limit card which I sent to $0 has a statement which closed on 12/18, so I can't say with confidence that it reported to TU before Barclays pulled it. It's possible both scores are post-$0.

Re: practical value of a huge credit limit?

iced,

Citi has updated the score on their site to the pull from 12/27. The Citi app is still showing the score from 11/22.

So, you should be able to see you updated Citi FICO.
