Hi Everyone!
I just checked my credit report for the first time in a few years (just normally check Fico scores) - I disputed a charge with Discover a few years ago - but didn't know that it got reported to CRA's?
Basically, someone made a charge on my Discover card for $0.25 - I'm obviously not concerned about the charge, but called Discover and froze my account because of it - This was not my charge and it came from Hawaii - I'm in Iowa and have never had dealings with Hawaii lol.
I felt that if this charge got processed - then it would have opened the floodgates for a lot "bigger and badder" things to happen
I didn't know that this would be reported to CRA's - does it reflect negatively on me?

Huh! So that’s why my Capital One account has dispute remarks, I always wondered about that! I’ve had fraud twice on that card.
I am curious if it has a negative effect as well. Maybe it’s just a way for the credit card companies to communicate to others that you have reported fraud on your account so if it’s happened too often in a period of time, other issuers are more likely to have more requirements to resolve a dispute for you?
