the FCRA response

Hey guys. I have one credit card that is reflecting negative information(delinquencies). It was my first activate credit card. I opened it when I was 19. I didn’t really understand the concept of credit and how important it really was to pay on time. I have since kept a good record with them.

Its a HomeDepot store card. I have 5 past due 30days in 2005. I've called customer service and emailed them a few times through out the years asking if they could remove those negative reportings and they always turn down my request and give me the general Fair Credit Reporting Act response.

Are there any effective ways to getting my request honored. I was reading the GW threads and i think im going to try that. Any information or advice would be appreciated.

thanks!

Re: the FCRA response

You probably need to try someone higher than customer service. You might also try looking on their website for a corporate bigwig and sending a GW letter to them. I have heard some people have had luck with GWs sent through planetfeedback.
