truecreditreport.com offered 4.95 deal when I called to cancel 14.95/mo acct.

When I called TrueCreditReport.com to cancel the 14.95/mo. reg acct the rep offered me a $4.95/mo deal instead. The deal was for the same 3 CRs plus some sort of security thing (I didn't really even listen to that part.) I'd ended up with the reg. 14.95 acct when I forgot to cancel my 30-day free trial in time (*slaps forehead*)

If you've got a $14.95 acct it might be worth a try to call & say you want to cancel, & see if they offer the $4.95 deal. If not you could always say it was offered to your friend just yesterday. If they still don't cough it up you could always sound waffley & change your mind. What are the odds you'd get the same rep when you really want to cancel or if you did that he'd remember your name ;-)?
