Does anyone know if wells fargo charged me outrageous nsf by posting cks charges first and then deposits purposely overdrawing my account and this was 4 years ago, if it is feasable to get my money back. It's about 3,000.
Meant to move this to General Credit Topics. Sorry about the shuffling.

At the time, that was SOP with most, if not all, banks.
What really kills me is when their online balances didn't behave the same way as their internal processes. Even after checking the bank balance late one day, you still find the NSF issue online the next AM.
It's hard to get this reversed even if you attempt it within 30 days. You could check in with your bank manager - unfortunately IME your odds are not great. We have had USBank do this for us in years past, but again it was - well actually it was within 24 hours of it happening. After we experienced it, we adjusted the way we handled our bank account.
I'm not sure if legislation has occurred in the past year or so to prevent this from happening - seems like there might have been something.......
