where to pull credit report and score?

I was formally a memeber of truecredit's credit monitoring but since they cancelled the 3 in 1 .....so did I. So, I signed up for credit check total today. But, I want to get my FICO score also. Can't I get my free true FICO somewhere once a year? Thanks for the help....

Short answer--no. You have to pay for your FICO, but you can always google discount code + myfico to find some. Smiley Happy

Re: where to pull credit report and score?

Let me share with you my attempt to get a REAL report of my complete credit file.

After struggling myself over the past couple of years, trying to understand what was truly in my credit file, and also reading many posts in these forums about discrepancies in what may be buried in credit files as opposed to what is reported in the vanilla credit reports that we commercially pay for over and over, I decided to bite the bullet, and get a full copy of my entire credit file, with all the intricate details, directly from the CRA.

So, I came across section 809(a) of the FCRA, which clearly states that “Every consumer reporting agency shall, upon request, clearly and accurately disclose to the comsumer….all information in the consumer’s file at the time of the request..”  Such a request requires payment, under FCRA 612(f) of a fee, which is currently $10.50.

What I just received back from Equifax was worse than any commercial credit report that I have ever received.  It had no payment history, at all.  No FCRA/DOFD for any account.  No Compliance codes.  A joke.

I can understand Fair Isaac being reluctant to provide credit scoring information, but the CRAs are required under federal law to provide us with what is in our credit file.  They are not doing that.

Yes, I have fired off a renewed letter to Equifax.  They think we are lemmings.

Most of what we get is only fecal scrapings from their boot heels.
